Made · Sworn · Family
If you have to ask, you already aren’t.
Everyone on this page is family. Some made their bones a very long time ago, in cities that have since fallen off the map. The standing order is sealed at the foot of this page, and it is not for general eyes.
Known Associates
Made, sworn, family. The real order is need-to-know, and you do not. All of these people will find you.

Seating Notes
1 Greeks and Albanians on separate floors. Piraeus and Tirana have been arguing over the same water since long before the Family.
2 The two Cartels do not compare routes, prices, or numbers at the same table. They will try. Do not let them.
3 Heaven and Hell have not been on speaking terms since the Fall. Michael remembers every name on the other list. Separate entrances.
4 The Imperium and the Swarm are mid extinction event. Do not seat them in the same galaxy, let alone the same room.
5 Loki sits alone. Asgard has not forgotten the business with Baldr, and does not intend to.
6 The Navy looked for Dorothy for three years. They never found her, and they never found anyone. The file is still open.
7 The Boston address is current. The Area 51 forwarding address is not. Write to neither.
8 No cartographer has ever found Lankhmar. The Mouser prefers it that way.
9 Yes. That James. He commissioned the Book himself, in 1611. He is aware of what it says about us. He finds it amusing.
The Sacred Band, the Mattachine, and the older houses do not discuss their ages. Several were made before the rest of us were born, and several times since. Do not ask how long they have been sworn.
This list is not exhaustive. Neither are we.
Field Notes · On Staying Made
No one on this list has ever been taken. Several have been looked for, by serious people, for a very long time. The looking is a matter of public record. The finding is not.
“They spent three years and a good deal of the public’s money looking for a woman named Dorothy. I have never been a woman, and I have never been in one place. They are still looking.”
DOROTHY · never found
“In the winter of ’79 they came to the conservatory with a list of names and read them aloud, slowly, to frighten us. By the last name two of us were already in Vienna, and one was standing in the doorway behind them.”
P. TCHAIKOVSKY · St. Petersburg, 1979
“Men who take a tall, quiet man for a gentle one are seldom given the chance to revise the opinion.”
A. LINCOLN · still standing
“I can resist everything except a man who believes he is following me. I have been followed by better, and they are not following anyone now.”
O. WILDE · Paris
If They Are Already Looking
If a badge or a torch has your name, you do not run. You read this, and you wait.
This protocol is for the compromised. If you carry the word, enter it and do exactly as it says. If you do not carry it, you do not need it yet. The Family will know either way.
